Boatyard Beach Bash 2021 Back Again in Annapolis

Hosted by the Annapolis Maritime Museum (AMM), the 16th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash will rock the beach on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Eastport. An impressive lineup of polished musical artists has been gathered by Founding Sponsor, Boatyard Bar & Grill, and Title Sponsor, Annapolis Subaru.

The Boatyard Beach Bash (BBB) has raised more than $1 million for the AMM. The museum’s primary mission is the education of children and adults regarding the rich maritime heritage of the Annapolis region and Chesapeake Bay ecology. Their modern Education Center features more than 15,000 hours of interactive educational programs.

History

BBB founder Dick Franyo sits on the Board of the Annapolis Maritime Museum. A passionate Jimmy Buffet fan, also known as a Parrothead, Franyo created an entertainment, lifestyle, and escapism venue at the Boatyard that was inspired by the musician. He subsequently had a vision of a Jimmy Buffett & Parrothead themed fundraiser that materialized as the Boatyard Beach Bash. In just three years, the event expanded beyond Boatyard’s parking lot by moving to the Annapolis Maritime Museum’s newly renovated Eastport waterfront facility. This made it possible for the BBB stage’s rear area to overlook the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

Music

Past performers include The Coral Reefer Band, made up of Jimmy Buffet, Peter Mayer, Brendan Mayer, Michael Utley, and Doyle Grisham. World-famous musicians, John Frinzi, Scott Kirby, Aaron Scherz, and James White have also performed. Their performances will be special because they will be playing on the shorefront location of the Annapolis Maritime Museum, with a breathtaking view of the Chesapeake Bay.
